Electrolysis Hair Removal

ELECTROLYSIS HAIR REMOVAL

If you are ready to permanently remove unwanted hair and increase your self-esteem, the only fully FDA approved method will be electrolysis. Electrolysis involves inserting a very fine probe into a hair follicle then activating an electric current which passes through the probe to the root of the hair, destroying the papilla. Once the papilla has been sealed off and blood can not get to the follicle, the follicle can no longer produce hair. We use disposable IB probes which has an insulation along the shaft. The insulation prevents the discharge of electric current along the shaft and allows the current to concentrate at the tip, where the IB probe meets the papilla.

Advantages of electrolysis:

  • The Electrology concept has been around for over 100 years. It works!
  • Can treat “peach fuzz”
  • Can treat all hair including white, red, and blond hairs
  • Permanent removal

Disadvantages of electrolysis:

  • Slow for large areas
  • Mild to moderate pain
  • Possible redness and mild swelling after treatment
